What is your current role, and where do you work?
I live in Dubai in the past few years, serving as the Chief Financial of a global fintech and financial markets trading services provider.
Can you share a bit about your personal and educational background?
I am a qualified accountant, a certified fraud examiner and I work in the financial services industry. I am also a husband and proud father of a young boy.
How did your career path unfold from graduation to where you are today?
After my graduation from the American Academy and following my military service, I studied in London. I became a qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and I continued my career path in Cyprus, at one of the top global leaders in professional services. I then worked as a financial controller and reporting manager for a global fintech broker in Limassol, until my move to Dubai.
What professional achievement are you most proud of and why?
Becoming a qualified accountant was the most important milestone in my professional career, as it created deep learning into finance, and as a qualification it provided access to roles with greater responsibility, from financial leadership to strategic decision‑making.
How did your experience with AAL contribute to your personal or professional growth?
During my time at the AAL, I developed a deep appreciation for discipline, hard work, and the value of having both ambition and support. These principles have shaped my academic and professional journey, enabling me to achieve key milestones while continuously striving for self‑development, motivation, and lifelong learning.
What advice would you give to current AAL students?
Be ambitious in what you wish to achieve, take on responsibilities and opportunities, as learning experience. Keep up with the technological advances, particularly in the field of AI.
Throughout your life set your goals in a specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound manner. This will increase your chances of success.
